What is an inventory dashboard?

An inventory dashboard turns raw stock records into decisions: how much value is tied up in equipment, which items are running low, and where movements happened. CoveScreen combines the numbers into cards, charts and reports you can print or export.

How stock status is calculated

Every item is compared against its minimum stock level. An item with a quantity of zero is out of stock, an item with a quantity above zero but at or below its minimum is low stock, and an item above its minimum is in stock.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Inventory Dashboard free?

Yes. The Inventory Dashboard is free to use, with no account, no upload and no payment required.

How does the low-stock alert work?

An item is low stock when its quantity is greater than zero but less than or equal to its minimum stock level, and out of stock when the quantity is zero.

Does the inventory value calculation use purchase price?

Yes. The total inventory value is the sum of quantity times unit purchase price across all items, so the number reflects what is held in stock.

Does this tool upload inventory data to a server?

No. Inventory data is processed locally in the browser and stored in browser local storage. Nothing is uploaded to CoveScreen or to any third-party service.

Can I export the inventory?

Yes. You can export all inventory, low-stock items, out-of-stock items, or the stock movement history as a CSV file.

Can I print the inventory report?

Yes. The Reports section generates a printable inventory report with the inventory summary, category breakdown, item list and low-stock summary, and sends it to the browser print dialog.
